Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician for a client in Fremont, California. This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in starting a career in facilities or building maintenance. The role offers hands-on training, making it perfect for individuals with no prior maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will support day-to-day building operations by assisting with routine upkeep, basic repairs, and general site maintenance. Under the guidance of experienced team members, the technician will learn and perform various tasks including:
- Assisting with routine inspections and general building upkeep.
- Performing basic landscaping tasks such as pulling weeds, planting, and maintaining irrigation.
- Completing janitorial duties including mopping, restroom cleaning, and restocking supplies.
- Performing simple preventative maintenance like changing HVAC filters and cleaning coils.
- Supporting general maintenance tasks such as painting, power washing, replacing ceiling tiles, emptying trash, and cleaning parking areas.
- Learning basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and cleaning fixtures.
- Learning basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging toilets, sinks, and drains.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Completing daily time sheets and following company documentation procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
All skills are taught on the job-no previous experience required.
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates with a desire to learn a skilled trade.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to take direction.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks and working with hands.
- Basic English communication skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 8-10 feet.
- Stand and walk for 6-8 hours per shift.
- Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Use close and distance vision for detailed tasks.
- Enter and exit vehicles and drive during daytime or occasional evening hours.

- Monday through Friday
- 1st Shift
Pay & Benefits
- $19-$23 per hour, based on experience and skills.
- Hands-on training in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance.
